There is truth behind the saying ‘Nothing worth having comes easy’. There are no marketing quick fixes that are going to have customers coming in their droves to you the minute you start doing it. In the world we live in, where we are bombarded with information and messages constantly, it takes time for your message to get noticed and be acted upon. Research has shown someone needs to see your message at least seven times before they do anything about it.

If you think about how many marketing messages you have passed today without even noticing them, it becomes clear how long it could take before someone sees your message at least seven times. That’s why consistency is so important in marketing.

Doing something once in your marketing and expecting instant results will not happen and beware anyone who promises that (whether it is your website, social media, radio ads etc.). You need to be consistent with your message and the channel you are promoting it in. Doing something one month and totally changing it the next month and the next month will totally dilute your marketing effort and dramatically impact your results.

Get your ducks in line first:
– Is your product /service wanted/needed by your niche market?
– Is your marketing message addressing that need/want (from the point of view of the customer)?
– Is your message being shown where your audience is engaged?

If you can answer yes to the above, stick with what you’re doing for at least 4-6 months to start seeing results.
